Sibshops – ages 11, 12, and 13
Sibshops provide young brothers and sisters with peer support & information around their sibling’s disability in a safe setting. Siblings will meet other siblings (virtually) to have fun, laugh, & talk about the good & not-so-good parts of having a sibling with a disability. We will play games, learn, chat, and of course have fun!
Sibshops is for children with no diagnosis.
This series of Sibshops are for Sibs ages 11, 12, or 13 years old. Unfortunately we are not able to accept Sibs outside of this age range.
A minimum of 5 Sibs is needed for these sessions to go forward.
The dates and times for these sessions are:
JANUARY 21 @ 6:30 – 8:00pm
FEBRUARY 18 @ 6:30 – 8:00pm
MARCH 18 @ 6:30 – 8:00pm
APRIL 15 @ 6:30 – 8:00pm
MAY 20 @ 6:30 – 8:00pm
Once you register, you will be sent an email confirming registration. This is where you will find the Zoom link for the group. Please add email@example.com to your address book to ensure you receive our email and check you junk mail just in case. If you have not received this registration email within 24 hours of registering, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
The registration date will only say January 21st, however, you are registering for all 5 sessions and will use the same Zoom link for all 5 sessions.
We ask that Sibs join the meeting in a private place in your home so they can talk freely about their sibling with a disability and their feelings without fear of causing hurt feelings to parents or their sibling. We do understand that this needs to be balanced with being safe online so if you have any concerns please contact email@example.com
